Description
* We have received reports that General cargo ship AST RISING (IMO:9437828), experienced an engine failure in the mid South Atlantic Ocean, approximately 1,110 nautical miles east of Salvador, Brazil on 07 August 2025.
* It is reported that the vessel was later taken under tow by tug towards Soyo, Angola, on 20 August 2025, with an ETA there of 04 September 2025.
* It is possible that General Average may arise as a result of this casualty.
